Many hours and attempts were dedicated to the selection of materials to ensure high quality and durability.
The foundation for the levitation effect is created by various designs of polished stainless steel columns. This alloy is highly resistant and is commonly used in machinery and tool manufacturing – it doesn’t oxidize. The fittings where the magnets are attached, as well as the chains, are also made from this high-quality material.






Magnets
Magnets are the core of the sculptures. Their never-ending attraction to each other is what makes them fascinating – as if trapped in time. Yet, they are also so ephemeral that the effect can be easily disrupted by pulling them apart.
But don’t be deceived – Neodymium magnets are used. Made from a special material blend, often referred to colloquially as supermagnets for a good reason – even small ones can lift many times their own weight.
This makes the processing extremely demanding, but it also makes the sculptures equally remarkable.
